Question

What is the purpose of EDwizard.exe and its registry keys? Can it be removed without any consequences?

Answer

EDwizard.exe is the automated Kernelbackup function of Sophos SafeGuard Disk Encryption.

Removing this key from the run hive (HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Run) can be done without any consequences (except for the Kernelbackup, which has to be done manual or using sgeback.exe in future).
