Question

Is it possible to use a relative path to refer to the Sophos SafeGuard Disk Encryption configuration file?

Answer

Among absolute paths, it is also possible to use relative paths to refer to the configuration file.

Example for an installation via command line:

Msiexec /i C:\Windows\Source\SDE.msi /qn /L* C:\Windows\Source\Install.log CFGFILE=%SystemRoot%\Source\Base.cfg ADDLOCAL='Add own features'

It is also possible to use relative paths to specify the location of the msi package or the logfile.

Although it is possible to use relative paths at a command line installation, patching relative paths into the MSI package directly via Orca is not possible!

Example:

keywords: sde
