Can't use RDP anymore after Sophos SafeGuard Disk Encryption was installed

How to solve this issue?

Answer

After installation of Sophos SafeGuard Disk Encryption, the Remote Desktop Connection does no longer work correctly. Either unlocking a locked desktop remotely is no longer possible, the desktop gets unlocked and locked again after one second or the terminal session fades to black/blue and working is no longer possible.

Please check the value of the registry key 'ShowLockDialog' and set it to '1' if needed.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Utimaco\SGLogon]
"ShowLockDialog"=dword:00000001

Remote desktop should now be possible again.
