Question

How to specify the Card Reader to authenticate via SmartCard?

Answer

If you have to authenticate against the CryptoServer, you can either use a KeyFile containing the Private Init Key or use a Smartcard with this key.

Fist identify your SmartCard:

- CryptoServer smart card - cs2 - (Standard)
- Utimaco PKI card - usa
- CardOS smart card - cos
- Telesec NetKey Card - nkey

Second identify your CardReader:

- Smart card reader type - cp8
- Ingenico/Bull SafePad - cm8
- Omnikey CardMan 8630 - acr
- Advanced Card System - ACR80

Third identify your interface

- COM interface on Windows - COM1 or COM2
- COM interface on Linux - /dev/ttyS0 (example)

Now put the three parts together, each beginning with a ":"

example :cs2:cp8:COM1
Usage: InitPrvKey=:cs2:cp8:COM1
