Issue

The 'DefaultIgnoreRules' registry key contains the same drive-letter twice.

Known to apply to the following Sophos product(s) and version(s)

SafeGuard File Share 6.0

Cause

The DefaultIgnoreRules are, by default, applied to the system and to the boot drive. On computers where this is the same volume, you will see the drive letter twice in the corresponding registry key.

What To Do

This is expected behavior as both values are determined and added to the registry separately. The first value represents the system drive, the second represents the boot drive.

Example:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\UTIMACO\SGLCENC]

DefaultIgnoreRules = "C:\*.*;C:\*.*"
