SafeGuard FileShare: Unhandled applications

  • Article ID: 116311

For reasons of compatibility, a number of processes are excluded from the encryption policy. These processes are registered as so-called 'Unhandled applications'. All data accessed by these applications is routed through the encryption filter without any modification. That means that:

  • plain data is not encrypted upon write
  • encrypted data is not decrypted during read.

There is a policy setting that allows you to define additional applications.
