The following document describes all common recovery scenarios (for example what to do in order to recover data from a volume-based encrypted hard-drive):

Ensure that you download the appropriate WinPE iso file for the version of SafeGuard that you are using:

  1. WINPE SGN 5.30.1.15 works for every 5.30.x client.
  2. WINPE SGN 5.35.1.11 works for SGN clients 5.35.0.89 und 5.35.1.11.
  3. WINPE SGN 5.35.3.35 works for the SGN client 5.35.3.35 only.
  4. WINPE SGN 5.40.0.152 works for the SGN client 5.40.0.152 only.
  5. WINPE SGN 5.50.0.116 (based on WinPE 3.0) works for SGN client 5.50.0.116 and 5.50.1.17.
  6. WINPE SGN 5.50.8.13 (based on WinPE 3.0) works for the SGN client 5.50.8.13 only.
  7. WINPE SGN 5.60.0.192 (based on WinPE 3.0) works for the SGN client 5.60.0.192 and 5.60.1.7.
  8. WINPE SGN 6.00.0.155 (based on WinPE 3.0) works for the SGN client 6.00.0.155 and 6.00.1.31. Note: For this version, the keyboard layout settings can be changed from DE(German) to EN(English), using the hotkey ALT+SHIFT. Other languages can be activated using the command line tool wpeutil.exe using the respective language code (i.e. "wpeutil SetKeyboardLayout 0409:00000409" for US layout) if required.
