This article explains how to assign POA (Power On Authentication) Groups to unmanaged computers in the SafeGuard Policy Editor/SafeGuard Management Center.

What To Do

  1. Go to Tools | Configuration Package Tool... and select the Client Configuration Package Tool.
  2. For either an existing standalone client configuration package or a new package, click on the POA Group drop-down menu, and select the required POA Group.


  3. In the  'Configuration Package output path', set a path and click on 'Create Configuration Package'.
    This installs the newly created msi on the unmanaged computer and updates the policies. After the machine has rebooted, you will be able to log in using the POA account:

  4. Once you have passed through the POA, you will be presented either with the Windows login interface.
