Is it possible to create a spare token, in case the "primary" token gets lost or damaged?
Depending on the configured token issue mode (User, External committment or Central) it is possible to issue a new token in the Pre-Boot-Authentication or the token management system at Operating System level - with the same user credentials, to have a token in spare - in case your token got damaged or lost.
Although it is possible to create a spare token, the common solution - for an token optional configured system - would be to use the Challenge/Response mechanism to logon to the Pre-Boot-Authentication in case the token got damaged or lost.
Please keep in mind that if the system is set up as token mandatory (token logon is required for all SafeGuard Easy users), and the token is lost, the Challenge/Response procedure cannot be used to provide remote help.
Please refere to chapter 26 "Remote Maintenance (Challenge/Repsonse)" in the SafeGuard Easy manual, to learn more about the Challenge/Response mechanism.
