SafeGuard Easy multi-platform 4.30.1
What is a Bootable Rescue Image and how to use it?
The SafeGuard Easy Bootable Rescue Image offers a full SafeGuard Easy Emergency Disk which is bootable as well. In addition, the SafeGuard Easy Emergency Disk Wizard will give you the option of creating a bootable start floppy that includes a system kernel, Emergency Tools and driver files for the keyboard layout. This is an easy way of combining a boot floppy and a SafeGuard Easy emergency floppy.
It offers exactly the same features as the Emergency Disk. The main difference is, that it provides you the possibility to create an kernel backup and keyboard drivers automatically on the disk, which is also bootable. There will be no difference although you choose the Emergency Disk or the Bootable Rescue Image, the functionalities of the Emergency Tools will stay the same.

How to create a bootable emergency CD
Nowadays, mobile devices like notebooks no longer have floppy devices. For this reason we have also made it possible for you to start SafeGuard Easy from a CD in case of emergency.
- Save the boot image file (Boot.iso) to the hard disk and use any commercially-available CD burner to save the file to CD (option "create CD from image" or similar). The ISO file contains the entire boot floppy , as it was created by the Emergency Disk Wizard, apart from the system kernel backup.
Please note: This version of the Bootable Emergency Image is designed for SafeGuard Easy 4.30.1. You may find the Bootable Rescue Image or the Emergency Disks for older/other versions in our public knowledge database (e.g. keyword: Emergency Disk or Rescue Image).
