SafeGuard Easy multi-platform 4.5x
Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP SP2 Professional Edition
How to solve this problem?
When installing SafeGuard Easy via command line using msiexec /i and CFGFILE=Install.cfg you must be aware that when you use a basic configuration to create your .cfg file the original file must be compatible with your system configuration. Later you are not able to change the encryption mode of your hard disk any more within this .cfg file.
When trying to install SGE with an existing standard installation file and your system contains non DOS partitions e.g. unallocated free disk space, installation will end reporting SGE 1096.
To avoid this problem read chapter 2 of the manual and make sure that you are using the correct .cfg file before you start installation.
