Question

Is it possible to automate the SafeGuard Easy kernel backup?

Answer

One way to automate backing up of SafeGuard Easy kernels from different machines in your company, is to use the SafeGuard Easy Administration (SafeGuard Easy Server). If you use the SafeGuard Easy Server, a kernel backup will be created automatically for each client that registers with the server.

However, it is also possible to create kernel backups using a commandline tool, i.e. without the SafeGuard Easy Server components.

SGEBACK.EXE /f:<Path/Filename> /?

Parameters:
/f: <Path and name of backup file>, variables are allowed, e.g. /f:h:\users\%computername%
