Question

When SafeGuard Easy is installed manually PC by PC you can choose a different hard disk key for every target system (e.g. by generating random keys). Is the same harddisk key used for every system, as soon as SafeGuard Easy is installed via a configuration file?

Answer

No, it won´t use the same key for all target machines, although you use the same configuration file. This can be realized by choosing a random key during the creation of the configuration file. In reality that random key is generated, as soon as the configuration file is read on your target machine (not when the fileis created). This means, that the encryption keys are generated randomly on every machine. By that, the level of security is increased.
