What does MBR protection mean ?

SafeGuard Easy creates a copy of the Master boot record (MBR) and the boot sector during the installation. Virus protection offers a protection mechanism against viruses, which attack the partition sector (Master boot record) and the boot sector. At start-up, the master boot record and boot sector will be checked for changes unless "Ignore Changes" is activated. If changes were found, a menu can be displayed or a predefined set of actions can be carried out. However, the menu will only be displayed after a correct login. If no correct login has been done, the system will carry out the steps defined in "Standard Actions".
