Novell Netware 6.0, Novell Netware 6.5

Question

SafeGuard Easy supports the function SAL (Secure Auto Logon). What does this function do?
Are there any restrictions which have to be considered?

Answer

SafeGuard Easy is able to perform an automatic logon to Windows Operating Systems 2000 and XP. This is valid for the first Windows login after the boot of the system. All proximate login processes have to be done manually. Logins to other target systems like Novell (inlude the SSO function), or to 3rd party smartcards are not supported.
The SAL function is optional. SAL can be turned off with the SafeGuard Easy tool CHGSAL.EXE.

Hint: For more informations about SAL you can check the manual by using keywords "SAL".
