Firewall on the anti-virus server blocks communications

With Sophos Anti-Virus for NetApp Storage Systems, a firewall on an anti-virus server can block communications between the anti-virus server and the NetApp filer, or between the computer running the snap-in and the anti-virus server. Error messages similar to those below may be displayed.

What to do

Ensure that your firewall allows the Sophos Anti-Virus for NetApp Storage Systems executables listed below access to all of your anti-virus servers, to the NetApp filer, and to the computer running the MMC snap-in

  • savnaser.exe
  • savnammc.dll
