Issue

You have configured a WiFi profile with a specified password for the network. However, when deploying the profile to Samsung devices with Android 4.4.2 the profile is not applied correctly, and the device keeps asking for the password of the network.

Devices running earlier versions of Android do not show this behavior.

Cause

This is an issue related to Android 4.4.2 and the Sophos Samsung Plugin.

What To Do

On affected devices, you have to configure the network manually, because currently there is no fix or workaround available to automatically deploy the WiFi configuration to these devices.

Our development team is currently working on a new version of the Sophos Samsung Plugin which will fix this behavior.

Once the new version is ready, it will be uploaded to the Google Play Store. Devices having the Plugin already installed will receive a notification that an update is available.

After the update is installed, the automated configuration should be possible again.
