Advisory: 'License exceeded' warning after upgrading to SafeGuard Enterprise 6.1

Issue

When launching the Management Console a warning is displayed: Your license is exceeded. As a consequence, the policy distribution to SafeGuard Clients gets disabled.

SafeGuard Management Center / Local Policy Editor 6.10.0

Cause

When upgrading the SafeGuard Enterprise backend to version 6.10, the license may be invalidated and replaced with the "Sophos SafeGuard® Evaluation License".

What To Do

If you experience this issue you must re-import the license file as follows:

  1. Open the Management Center and go to 'Users/Computers'.
  2. In the left pane select 'Root'.
  3. In the window on the right hand side select 'Licenses'.
  4. Click on 'Import license file'.
