If you are currently running any of the Sophos Small Business (SBE) products listed below, Windows 8 is not supported.
If you want to run Windows 8, you must update to either 'Sophos Antivirus – Business', or 'Sophos Endpoint Protection – Business' products as discussed in this article.

Running Sophos Small Business products on Windows 8
- Sophos Small Business (SBE) products, running Sophos Anti-Virus version 10.0.x or earlier do not support Windows 8. For Windows 8 support, you must be running v 10.2.x or higher. To do this, you will need to upgrade your license to the appropriate new license (Sophos Antivirus – Business or Sophos Endpoint Protection – Business).
If you are an existing SBE customer you can take advantage of the simple, free, migration to the new business products, which support Windows 8 endpoints, and Windows Server 2012. For full information on upgrading, refer to the Small Business Upgrade Center.
