Detection by Sophos of Mal/Behav-104 / Trojan.MulDrop3.62656

Sophos has been monitoring a spike in news activity concerning a malware outbreak in the Netherlands. The malware is being referred to in the press as Trojan.MulDrop3.62656. 

Analysis of the samples that we’ve seen indicates that we have been protecting our customers against this piece of malware since late 2008. We have had it listed as Mal/Behav-104.

Whilst we do detect this particular threat, we always encourage our customers to submit any sample of suspected malware for analysis by SophosLabs.
