When using Sophos Mobile Control (SMC) on Android, blocking the mail traffic of one device may block the traffic of another device of that user.

What To Do
If you do not use the correct procedure when registering multiple Android devices for one user using the Self Service Portal, it may happen that the wrong Active Sync ID is linked to the devices.
If this happens, blocking the mail traffic of one device will block the traffic of another device of that user. The device you wanted to block the traffic for will stay unaffected.
This only happens if you register the devices first and then configure the mail accounts on these devices.
To avoid this, you must use the following correct procedure is:
- Register the device via the Self Service Portal.
- Configure the mail account on that device.
- Sync the mails on that account.
After you have done this you can register the second device.
