Issue
System not able to boot up or does not function correctly after adding RAM

Known to apply to the following Sophos product(s) and version(s)
SafeGuard Enterprise Device Encryption 5.50.0.116
SafeGuard Enterprise Device Encryption 5.60.0.x
SafeGuard Enterprise Device Encryption 5.60.1.x
SafeGuard Enterprise Device Encryption 5.61.
SafeGuard Enterprise Device Encryption 6.0.X

Operating system
All Supported OS's

What to do

After adding the memory, press the Shift+F4 hotkey as the machine is booting into the POA (Hotkeys are described in the following article - http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/article/107781.html)

The reason for this is that changing the RAM might cause a change the in the USB behavior depending on the hardware manufacturer > for example when adding 2 GB extra into a Panasonic device will cause the BIOS to address the USB stack differently - on such a machine USB might then stop working properly.

Under some circumstances the VESA cache also changes the allocation internally which might then cause boot issues > using Shift F4 will then clear the POA behavior and let us act correctly to the change.
