What is the maximum size of the file for undesirable passwords?

About the text box:
The text box for the list of undesirable passwords has 1024 Bytes available. One Byte (0) is required to complete the list thus, this text box shows only 1023 Bytes as available, even if it is empty.
Furthermore, one 0 is needed to complete every word in the list. Thus, the counter decreases with 2 after entering the first sign.

About the file:
The size of the file does not matter. The import of the file will stop as soon as no more space is available in the text box.

The format:
Each password must be placed in a separate line, i.e. has to be completed with a return, Unix format is supported. If it is 0, it will be skipped (e.g. one blank line).
If a password contains more than 16 characters, it will be cut after the 16th character and will be interpreted as another word until the end of the line is reached (e.g. a password with 33 characters is interpreted as 3 passwords).

Additional information:
It is not possible to define a maximum file size. The possible file size depends on the content of the file.
Windows requires 2 Bytes for a new line. In Sophos SafeGuard Disk Encryption, only 1 character is required to complete the line.

Please see the pass2.txt for an example. If you import this file, you will have 955 Bytes of the 1023 Bytes left. This means that only 68 Bytes have been used although the file size is 72 Bytes (only visible via Properties).

In the above example file, you will find 4 lines, i.e. with our method of saving, we win 1 Byte per line.

Basically, the possible size of the file depends on the length and the number of passwords, as well as on the used format in the text file due to the fact that the Unix format only utilizes 1 character as a new line.

In detail: If every password has 16 characters, our text box will hold 60 passwords. We utilize 60 * (16 + 1) = 1020 Bytes, the "+1" means the end sign per word. The file size is 60 * (16 + 2) = 1080 Byte, the "+2" represents the new line based on the Windows format.
