SafeGuard Easy installation hangs on IBM / Lenovo machines

When attempting to install SafeGuard Easy, the installation process hangs without any error or apparent reason. What can be done to solve this error?


Please check whether the Windows installer log file contains the following error:

For a successful installation, you need to include the parameter IBMRAR=0.

To do so, you can add this parameter to the command line installation of Safeguard Easy with "msiexec" (e.g. msiexec c:\sgeasy.msi ADDLOCAL=Sgeasy, Encryption IBMRAR=0).

This solution is similar to the one described in 107312.
