SafeGuard LAN Crypt Client - Network perfomance loss while updating the GPOs

  • Article ID: 107165
  • Updated: 30 Sep 2010

You experience a network performance loss while updating the GPOs.

With SafeGuard LAN Crypt installed, a network performance loss occurs while updating the group policy objects (GPOs). In the Local Area Network, this performance loss is hardly noticeable, but when updating over a VPN Tunnel or a dial-in network connection, the network may become very slow. It could take 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the size and number of GPOs loaded by the client machine. Normally an update of the GPOs over a dial-in network takes about 2 minutes.
