The buzz around controlling network access is at full volume yet for many
would-be NAC adopters, what NAC is or is supposed to be remains
unclear. For most of the nearly 400 organizations that responded to our
survey, "confusion about what NAC is or is supposed to be" is one of the
top three challenges to NAC adoption. Not so for the Best-in-Class. The
companies who are successfully protecting their network don't cite
confusion about NAC among their top challenges. They also have more
demanding views as to what they think a NAC solution should provide.
