Sophos UTM 100
The Sophos UTM 100 is our entry-level appliance including a broad range of features suitable for providing complete protection for small offices. There’s also an option for centrally managing Endpoint Protection too. It’s based on a solid hardware with a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom CPU, four separately manageable network ports and an integrated hard drive. And it can be seamlessly upgraded to a faster model and to our fully featured software package. It only takes a couple of clicks and with no need for new hardware.

Sophos UTM 110
The Sophos UTM 110 offers complete, easy-to-use protection for small businesses and offices with up to 50 users. You can either start with a broad set of basic features offering similar functionality to our UTM 100 but with higher performance, or you can mix and match any modules you need. If you decide to upgrading to a UTM120, it takes just a couple of clicks and with no need for new hardware.

Sophos UTM 120

Sophos UTM 220

Sophos UTM 320
The Sophos UTM 320 simplifies protection for mid-sized businesses and enterprise divisions with up to 800 users. A combination of fast- and gigabit-ethernet network ports enables flexible deployment within medium-sized networks. And it scales to meet your growing demands. With peak firewall performance rates of more than 1 Gbit/s, the UTM appliance can protect hundreds of users against common hacker attacks. The Sophos UTM 320 can also be used with enterprise-class technologies like WAN link balancing, hot-standby and Sophos’ patent-pending “One-Click-Clustering.”

Sophos UTM 425
The Sophos UTM 425 protects enterprise networks with up to 1,500 users without sacrificing network performance or flexibility. The UTM appliance is equipped with six gigabit-speed copper ports and two gigabit SFP ports, which can be loaded with fiber or copper Mini-GBICs. This combination enables the Sophos UTM 425 to provide flexible high-speed network connectivity – even in the data center. An Intel Multi-Core CPU and eight PCI-Express gigabit-speed network ports offer firewall throughput rates of more than 3Gbit/s. Link aggregation and load balancing technologies enable the system to grow with your network.

Sophos UTM 525
The Sophos UTM 525 offers reliable protection for enterprise networks with as many as 3,500 users. It’s equipped with redundant, RAID-controlled hard disks and hot-swappable power supplies. In the default configuration, eight gigabit-speed copper ports enable flexible network connectivity. The unit also provides the option of adding one of three different LAN-modules, all of which can be replaced at any time:
- 8-port 1 GbE copper LAN-module
- 8-port 1 GbE fiber LAN-module
- 2-port 10 GbE fiber LAN-module
An Intel Multi-Core Xeon CPU and as many as 18 PCI-Express gigabit-speed network ports enable firewall throughput rates of more than 23 Gbps. Our “One-Click Clustering” technology enables full gigabit UTM-throughput without external load balancers.

Sophos UTM 625
The Sophos UTM 625 protects enterprise networks with as many as 5,000 users. It’s designed to provide the high-speed performance and reliability required of demanding environments. In the default configuration, eight gigabit-speed copper ports enable maximum deployment flexibility. The unit also provides the option of adding two of three different LAN-modules, all of which can be replaced at any time:
- 8-port 1 GbE copper LAN-module
- 8-port 1 GbE fiber LAN-module
- 2-port 10 GbE fiber LAN-module
It’s the ideal choice even for the data center. Reliability and availability are delivered via redundant RAID-controlled hard disks and hot-swappable power supplies. Two Intel Multi-Core Xeon CPUs, up to 26 PCI-Express gigabit-speed network ports and two 10K rpm SAS hard disks enable firewall throughput rates in excess of 40 Gbps. Our “One-Click Clustering” technology enables full gigabit UTM-throughput without external load balancers.

Deployment scenarios
A Sophos UTM appliance provides only the protection you need, where you need it. For network, web and email security on the LAN and servers, replace your existing firewall/router with Sophos UTM. A Sophos UTM appliance in the branch office provides complete network, Web and email security for the LAN. It also enables secure communications with the corporate network.
Software
Sophos UTM software appliance
The Sophos UTM software appliance integrates all security applications with a hardened OS. These are bundled within a single software image for easy deployment on hardware of your choice. The self-booting software package installs on a dedicated Intel-compatible computer within minutes. In addition to the full feature set offered on the pre-installed hardware appliances, Sophos UTM software appliances provide the freedom to change or upgrade the underlying hardware at will.
Performance results depend on the selected hardware. Best results are achieved when using hardware specifications at or beyond Intel Dual/Quad-Core CPUs >2GHz, 2GB RAM.

Virtual
Sophos UTM virtual appliance
Sophos UTM virtual appliances are based on the software equivalent. Sophos UTM is the first unified threat management product to be certified as VMware Ready and Citrix Ready. It also runs in Microsoft Hyper-V and KVM virtual environments. The virtual appliance can be downloaded from Sophos servers and burned independently on CD. A step-by-step deployment of each security component enables a secure migration path into a completely virtualized environment. Sophos UTM virtual appliances are used by IT organizations that are consolidating servers, as well as managed services providers that run multiple UTM instances concurrently on the same virtualized platform.
Best performance results are experienced when using hardware specifications at or beyond Intel Dual/Quad-Core CPUs >2GHz, 2GB RAM. Specific licensing packages are available based on the number of users/IP addresses.
