Sophos was named Security Vendor of the Year and Best Anti-Malware
Solution at the SC Magazine Awards
IT security and control firm Sophos today announced that is has
been named Security Vendor of the Year at the SC Magazine Awards
2009 Europe. Sophos Endpoint Security and Control 8.0 also picked
up the award for Best Anti-Malware Solution, and was highly
commended in the Best Enterprise Security Solution category.
The awards were held at the Hurlingham Club in London last night
and honoured cutting edge ideas and smarter thinking. Judges
included the SC Magazine editorial team and information security
representatives at Deloitte and KPMG among others.
In the Security Vendor of the Year category, Sophos beat off
competition from Qualys, McAfee and MessageLabs, while other
contenders for Best Anti-Malware included ESET, Kaspersky Lab,
MessageLabs, Finjan, IBM and Intego.
