Sophos Email Appliance receives 4 out of 5 stars
IT security and control firm Sophos announced today that SC
Magazine has awarded the Sophos ES1000 Email Appliance 4 out of 5
stars for its solid features and overall ease of use. The test
results for the ES1000, which delivers high-capacity,
high-availability security against spam, phishing, viruses, spyware
and malware, were released in the magazine's February 2009
issue.
SC Magazine's Test Lab noted that "the installation was easy and
straightforward. The directions were simple and the device was up
and running in no time at all." The reviewer referred to the
web-based interface as "slick" and very easy to navigate.
The reviewer concluded that "administrators securing the
enterprise environment will appreciate a wide range of options and
the appliance's single interface helps to easily view and manage
multiple devices". Overall, the ES1000 Email Appliance was said to
be "good value given the features and the price".
