Sophos named in Canada's Top 100 Employers 2009.

Vancouver, BC/Boston, Mass. - Sophos, a world leader in IT security and control, today announced that Maclean's, Canada's distinguished national newsweekly magazine, has selected Sophos for its "2009 Canada's Top 100 Employers" listing. Sophos has been recognized as a Canadian Top Employer for four consecutive years, making the 2008 Top 40 Employers for British Columbia, 2007 Canada's Top 100 Employers and Top 30 Employers for British Columbia and 2006 Canada's Top 100 Employers and British Columbia's Top 20 Employers.

Sophos was recognized for an excellent benefits package that, among other things, offers enrollment in the company's bonus program, a matching Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), and participation in Sophos's share option plan. Sophos was also acknowledged for a superior training and development program. There are currently 195 employees in the Vancouver office, which accounts for more than 15% of Sophos's worldwide employee base. Within the Vancouver office, there are personnel responsible for marketing, product marketing, product management, engineering, technical support, channel sales, inside sales, finance, IT and human resources.

Sophos is centrally located in downtown Vancouver. Formerly a bank, the open-concept space is complete with a basement vault and high ceilings. Sophos is close to completing renovating the office space with fresh paint, new carpets, new lighting and workstations. Sophos employees have access to the company's 24-hour lounge, which offers complementary coffee and tea and subsidized sandwiches and salads. There are also laundry services and laundry facilities.
