Sophos today announced that it was among the select companies
that Forrester invited to participate in The Forrester Waveâ„¢:
Client Security Suites, Q3 2006, September 2006.
In this evaluation, Sophos was cited as a strong performer in
the Client Security Suite market. The Forrester Wave results are
based on 83 criteria from vendor, customer and partner interviews,
and other related Forrester research.
Natalie Lambert, analyst at Forrester Research and Wave report
author, writes that "Sophos Endpoint Security provides a single
agent for all of its functionality. This enables simple deployment
of the product through a push from the console." Lambert continued,
"Sophos customers consistently say that working with Sophos
couldn't be easier... Furthermore, the SophosLabsâ„¢ researchers work
with all types of the malicious code and therefore see correlations
between different types of code and create signatures that treat
the entire threat."
On a scale of 0 to 5 (5 strong), Sophos received strong scores
in the following categories:
- unified architecture
- malware definitions
- behavioral protection
- support staff
"Sophos is pleased to be recognized as a strong performer in The
Forrester Waveâ„¢: Client Security Suite report, Q3 2006," said
Steve
Munford, CEO of Sophos. "Threat management is very critical for
enterprises, and the ability to stop unknown threats before they
happen separates our offering from the other security vendors."
