Sophos, a world leader in protecting businesses against viruses,
spyware and spam, has announced the winners of its Partner Awards
2006, designed to showcase its top performing UK channel business
partners. Cambridge-based Foursys, a specialist in Sophos
Anti-Virus software, retained its title of 'UK partner of the year'
for the fifth year running, as well as receiving a new 'special
achievement' award in recognition of its outstanding sales success
and commitment to Sophos.
The 'UK partner of the year' award recognises resellers that
have demonstrated a dedication to building advantageous, successful
and profitable relationships, both with customers and the Sophos
sales team. The 2006 nominees were Foursys, Softcat, PC World
Business, which was awarded 'new business growth partner of the
year', and Civica, named Sophos's 'corporate partner of the
year'.
"To receive the UK partner of the year award for the fifth time
is a credit to everyone at Foursys, and it's an honour to be
recognised once more for our continued commitment to Sophos," said
Paul Prior, managing director at Foursys. "Going forward we intend
to maintain our high service levels and strong customer
relationships, and the forthcoming new Sophos Anti-Virus solution
means there's an exciting challenge ahead if we want to make it six
wins in a row."
The awards took place on 11 May at the Hilton Metropole, London,
as part of the Sophos UK Partner Conference 2006. This annual event
offers Sophos business partners an insight into future plans and
developments, as well as providing a platform on which to discuss
ideas for furthering Sophos's business.
