Last night, Sophos was awarded with the title of "Business
Software Supplier of the Year" in the thirteenth annual Computing
Awards for Excellence, which took place at Battersea Park Arena in
London. The computer security firm, shortlisted with six other
software suppliers catering to businesses, attracted the greatest
number of readers' votes to win this distinguished award.
The award recognizes excellence in the provision of IT systems,
considered to provide the best quality, value-for-money and
innovation.
"We are very proud to be recognized as Business Software
Supplier of the Year in the Computing Awards for Excellence," said
Stuart Small, sales and marketing director for Sophos UK. "We have
a strong team at Sophos who work hard to deliver the best possible
service to our customers, and it is great that our efforts have
been rewarded by this prestigious accolade."
The award follows a long history of the company and its products
receiving awards for quality and excellence from numerous
independent bodies, such as the Queen's awards, CBI, WestCoast
Labs, Virus Bulletin, ICSA and Frost and Sullivan.
Short-listed companies in the Computing Awards' Business
Software Supplier of the year category included F-Secure, Appsense,
CGram Software, LANDesk Software, Mindjet and Njini.
