BusinessWeek places Sophos 27th on Europe's Hot Growth list

BusinessWeek

Sophos, a world leader in protecting businesses against viruses, spyware and spam, has been positioned at number 27 in BusinessWeek's European Hot Growth Companies list, which recognizes Europe's high-growth, job-creating companies.

The list represents several business sectors - in the computer security sector, Sophos is the highest ranking company.

The Europe 500 list was founded by BusinessWeek and Europe's Entrepreneurs for Growth, a Brussels-based organisation that represents more than 2,000 entrepreneurs.

In order to be considered for the annual Europe 500 list, companies must have been founded before 2002, have a minimum of 50 employees and be based in one of the 25 European Union member states, Iceland, Norway, or Switzerland.

Sophos employs around 1000 staff worldwide, and has offices across Europe and the rest of the world.
