Sophos Anti-Virus on-access scanner for Linux demonstrated at LinuxWorld Expo

Sophos demonstrated a prototype of its Linux on-access virus scanner at LinuxWorld Expo/Tokyo on 1-3 June 2005.

This high-speed on-access scanner will be integrated into Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux, version 5.0, due for release on a date to be announced. Automatic updating and an administration GUI are also planned for this release. With low CPU usage and rapid throughput, the software will operate reliably and securely with a wide range of Linux distributions.
