Enhanced detection and manageability with new PureMessage

We have released a new version of Sophos PureMessage for UNIX as part of our next generation of enterprise solutions. PureMessage 5.0 builds on earlier versions of this proven email gateway security solution, continuing to provide proactive protection through integrated anti-virus, anti-spam and policy enforcement capabilities. Enhancements include even more reliable detection mechanisms and a host of new functionality that help ease the integration of PureMessage into enterprise environments and increase manageability.

Expanded threat detection

PureMessage 5.0 improves reliability of detection with new family- and campaign-based detection mechanisms - Genotypeâ„¢ virus definitions and Genotype spam definitions. The product also benefits from enhanced traffic profiling through SophosLabsâ„¢ and new hourly spam rule updates.

Tighter integration into enterprise environments

PureMessage 5.0 integrates more tightly with key security assets, including LDAP systems, Active Directory systems and high-performance MTAs like the Sun Java System Messaging Server.

Increased manageability

PureMessage 5.0 gives administrators deeper insight into system behaviour and enables seamless rollback to previous configurations. Support for end users is also improved, allowing them to manage their personal filtering preferences easily.

Existing PureMessage customers will be sent upgrade instructions by email.
