Sophos and Chili Systems renew partnership

Lynnfield, MA - Sophos, a world leader in network security, announced today that it has renewed its alliance agreement with Chili Systems, Inc., a premier developer of managed network server appliances and business technology solutions. Sophos's virus detection technology will continue to protect Chili Box customers against malicious code.

Chili Box is a network server specifically created for small office and home office (SOHO) environments and connects all types of computers, ensuring that users can easily share data via the Internet without compromising security.

As the number of viruses and the speed at which they spread increases, keeping anti-virus software up-to-date at all times is imperative. Sophos's virus-scanning technology protects critical business data by regularly scanning for viruses and other threats such as worms, Trojans, and spyware. Chili Box customers are automatically configured to receive virus identity files (IDEs) every 60 minutes.

"We have a tremendous working relationship with Sophos," said Garry M. Simpson, CTO at Chili Systems. "Our synergy is a result of a common philosophy to make networking and the internet easy. With the Chili Box, our customers do not have to be IT managers to get the features of an enterprise-class network."

"We are very pleased to renew our partnership with Chili Systems," said Richard Baldry, Head of Strategic Alliances at Sophos. "Our mutual expertise in network security and commitment ensures that small businesses benefit from our relationship."
