Sophos, a world leader in protecting businesses against viruses
and spam, has announced that the French medical institute INSERM
(Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale) has
chosen Sophos PureMessage to protect its users from viruses and
spam.
INSERM will be protecting 6000 mailboxes from viruses and spam
using Sophos's award-winning product, Sophos PureMessage. With over
350 research units and 21 clinical research centres based across
France, INSERM required an integrated product which could easily
assist in scanning incoming and outgoing email messages for spam
and viruses.
"The scientists at INSERM are doing important medical research.
Viruses and spam can disrupt this essential work, cost money and
create unnecessary interruptions. We are delighted to be able to
support INSERM by defending their computers from the nuisance of
viruses and spam," said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant
for Sophos.
Sophos PureMessage supports Linux,
Sun Solaris SPARC, HP-UX, FreeBSD, AIX on RISC, Windows
2000/2003/XP Professional, Exchange 2000/2003 and Microsoft IIS
systems. A small business
version is also available.
