Sophos praised for quality of tech support in comparative tests of anti-virus vendors

Sophos, a world leader in protecting businesses against viruses and spam, has had the quality of its technical support praised in a comparative test by Information Security magazine.

The October 2004 edition of Information Security magazine compared the technical support offered by Sophos, Computer Associates, McAfee, Symantec and Trend Micro. As well as measuring the speed of response, the magazine also rated the quality of the advice they were given when posing as customers with a technical issue.

Sophos's technicians were praised for their indepth knowledge by the magazine: "Because of their thorough troubleshooting process and level of experience, Sophos technicians never needed to resort to email."

Sophos's online virus information was also singled out for offering the greatest level of detail.
