Sophos moves into new global headquarters
Sophos, a world leader in protecting businesses against
viruses and spam, has begun the process of moving into its new
global headquarters in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK.
The new purpose-built £32 million facility
covers a total of 145,000 sq ft, is three stories high and is
finished externally in glass, steel, alumnium and brick. The new
building can house 600 employees and provides extensive visitor and
training facilities for the company and its customers.
Other facilities include a roof garden and south facing staff
restaurant overlooking wild landscaping and a lake.
The new building, designed by Bennetts Associates, combines
environmental best practice with the requirements of a
highly-serviced, IT-intensive building.
Sophos has made arrangements with the authorities to retain its
existing mailing address, post code and telephone numbers.
