Sophos "Highly Commended" for exports at International Business Awards
Sophos, a world leader in anti-virus and anti-spam
protection for businesses, has been "Highly Commended" at the
International Business Awards, revealed in London on 10
November.
Sophos was recognised in the category of Corporate Exporter of
the Year (for companies with over £25 million turnover), being
beaten only by BBC Worldwide Limited.
"World events made it a tough year for international trade and
investment, yet despite the challenges many companies in the UK
have shown an unprecedented commitment in developing their
international business opportunities," said Sir Stephen Brown,
Chief Executive of UK Trade and Investment. "It is a pleasure to
recognise and applaud such companies whose efforts have made such a
contribution to international trade. Sophos, together with our
other winners, are a credit to British business and an
encouragement to all other companies, both large and small."
Recognition at the International Business Awards is just the
latest example of a long line of successes for Sophos, whose
anti-virus and anti-spam products are used by millions of business
users worldwide.
