Graphical reports on viruses detected across the entire network
give system administrators even more control over their business's
security.
Sophos, a world leader in anti-virus protection for businesses,
today announced the immediate availability of EM Reporter, a new
management tool for its Enterprise Manager suite. EM Reporter
enables Sophos customers to generate management reports about virus
incidents throughout their company networks.
EM Reporter processes and stores virus alerts generated by
Sophos Anti-Virus, detailing every virus incident and giving a
clear, tailored picture of the most vulnerable points on the
network. By delivering instant, graphical reports of viruses
detected across Windows servers and workstations, there is no
longer any need to spend time collating report logs by hand.
"With Sophos's EM Reporter, the days of us manually collating
virus reports are long gone," said David Hopkins, network systems
support analyst at Provident Financial, the international financial
services group specialising in personal credit and motor insurance.
"By being able to customise graphic-based reports as well as be
alerted to any weakness in our network defences, Sophos EM Reporter
is a welcome addition to the Sophos product suite."
Reports can be customised, giving staff full control on what
information is included in the report. Selection can be made from
information such as the number of alerts by virus type, by
location, by time period - hourly, daily, etc. - as well as full
details of the virus itself.
"EM Reporter significantly helps Sophos customers isolate any
virus hotspots inside their businesses and take appropriate
action," explained Mark Laister, Enterprise Manager product manager
at Sophos. "The reports can also be collated to show how long a
company has been kept free of all known viruses - a valuable piece
of information for business clients, customers and partners."
EM Reporter is part of the Enterprise Manager suite, which
enables users to keep Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows updated
automatically with the very latest anti-virus protection.
