Sophos announced today that
it is a corporate sponsor of VB2003, the 13th Annual Virus Bulletin
Conference, to be held in Toronto, Canada (Sept 25 - 26 2003).
VB2003 is the only international event which specifically
addresses the threat from computer viruses and features corporate
and technical presentations in two parallel tracks. The conference
attracts over 400 delegates and provides an opportunity for
corporate users to discuss current threats and OS vulnerabilities
with the industry's leading authorities.
Peter Cooper, UK Support manager at Sophos, will present his
paper "Prevention vs cure vs freedom: achieving the business
balance" at the conference.
"Virus Bulletin is delighted to be supported by world-leading
anti-virus industry heavyweights like Sophos," said Helen Martin,
editor of Virus Bulletin. "In sponsoring this event Sophos is
demonstrating the company's strong commitment to educating the
business community and the public about the virus threat in a
responsible way."
"Sophos is pleased to sponsor and participate in the Virus
Bulletin conference," said Graham Cluley, senior technology
consultant for Sophos Anti-Virus. "Virus Bulletin magazine has long
been considered by system administrators around the world as the
number one independent source for information regarding how to
protect businesses against the virus threat."
