Sophos appoints new Head of Product Management
Sophos, a world leader in anti-virus protection for businesses,
has appointed Gary Thomassen as its new head of product management.
Based at Sophos's UK headquarters, Thomassen will lead the
company's existing team of product managers to identify new and
changing customer anti-virus requirements. He will also be
responsible for driving and co-ordinating Sophos's overall product
strategy and ensuring that developments in the company's range of
new and existing products closely reflects business needs.

its usability and ability to block malicious code," said Richard
Jacobs, technical director at Sophos. "Gary's strong commercial
experience enhances our ability to deliver technical excellence
through products that meet and exceed market demands."
Thomassen joins Sophos with extensive experience of global
product management and marketing, most recently at Clearswift, and
previously at Citrix and Symantec. After graduating from Oregon
State University in Business Administration, Thomassen has racked
up 13 years in the security software industry.
