Sophos, a global leader in anti-virus protection for
businesses, has announced that it is co-sponsoring the Citrix
iForum event to be held next week.
The event, running from 12-14 May 2003, will see technology
leaders from around the globe gathering in Edinburgh to share the
very latest thinking on application and information access
technology.
When users run an application on a Citrix MetaFrame server, only
the keyboard, mouse and display information are transmitted over
the network. File access, application execution and application CPU
utilisation all take place on a single server.
Sophos's approach to anti-virus protection is particularly
suited to the Citrix MetaFrame environment where multiple clients
repeatedly access the same application and data files. Sophos's
technology architecture ensures that files which are known not to
have changed since they were scanned do not need to be checked
again for viruses.
Sophos is a member of the Citrix Business Alliance, and has been
certified as one of Citrix's Premier Business Alliance
Partners.
