Sophos, a world leader in corporate anti-virus protection, has
been named by Frost & Sullivan as providing the best customer
satisfaction in the anti-virus sector in their recent report,
"European E-mail Security End-user Study".
When ranked against the other vendors, Sophos came first in over
half of the categories in the survey including reputation of the
vendor, customer support, comprehensiveness and overall
satisfaction. Frost & Sullivan concluded that Sophos customers
are the most content of all anti-virus customers and awarded the
company its top accolade for customer satisfaction. The analyst
group also commented that Sophos's superior ratings place the
company in a very strong position to increase its client base.
The report says "Sophos has beaten tough competition from larger
players in the market such as Trend Micro, Symantec and Network
Associates. Despite not having an equally large installed customer
base, Sophos customers are the most satisfied with the vendor and
its products. When ranked against other leading anti-virus vendors,
Sophos came first in over half of the categories including
reputation of the vendor, customer support, comprehensiveness and
overall satisfaction. Sophos customers are the most satisfied of
all anti-virus customers and so it has been reflected in this
award."
The report continues, "Frost & Sullivan believes that this
is an impressive success by a company that has to compete head to
head with the heavyweights of the anti-virus industry. However,
Sophos's superior customer satisfaction ratings are placing the
company in a very strong position to gain a larger client base,
extending its strong position in the UK to other parts of Europe.
In fact, Frost & Sullivan believes that Sophos has already
gained a place on the top of the anti-virus market by having the
most satisfied customers as a result of delivering on customers'
expectations."
"Customer opinion plays an important part in the way we conduct
our business," said Petra Merne, Head of Marketing at Sophos. "Our
attitude to customer support is what continues to set us apart in
this highly competitive industry and the reason more and more
dissatisfied anti-virus users are switching to Sophos. Tributes
like this demonstrate that we are meeting customer expectations
and, in many cases, exceeding them."
