Sophos, a world leader in corporate anti-virus protection, has
announced the appointment of Ajit Nedungadi to its UK Board.
Nedungadi, who is a Vice President at TA Associates, the leading US
private equity firm which made a £41 million minority investment in
Sophos in May 2002, joins Sophos as a non-executive director. He
will help steer the UK-based anti-virus company's increased drive
in global markets, particularly the US.
"Nedungadi's considerable experience of helping technology firms
to prosper in highly competitive markets makes him an ideal

In his role for TA Associates, Nedungadi specialises in equity

serving on the Sophos board, he also holds board positions with
Escher Group, Ltd. and netNumina, Inc. Prior to joining TA,
Nedungadi was at Trilogy Software. He holds an MBA from Harvard
Business School and a BSc from Yale University.
