Sophos appoints TA Associates' Nedungadi to UK Board

Sophos, a world leader in corporate anti-virus protection, has announced the appointment of Ajit Nedungadi to its UK Board. Nedungadi, who is a Vice President at TA Associates, the leading US private equity firm which made a £41 million minority investment in Sophos in May 2002, joins Sophos as a non-executive director. He will help steer the UK-based anti-virus company's increased drive in global markets, particularly the US.

In his role for TA Associates, Nedungadi specialises in equity investments in profitable growth technology companies. Along with serving on the Sophos board, he also holds board positions with Escher Group, Ltd. and netNumina, Inc. Prior to joining TA, Nedungadi was at Trilogy Software. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSc from Yale University.
