New team provides worldwide services and support to security
partners
Sophos, a world leader in corporate anti-virus protection, today
announced that it has created a global OEM team to further develop
and service worldwide technology partners. Sophos has launched this
team to provide increased support to third party developers. A vast
number of software companies, businesses, ISPs and ASPs have
already integrated Sophos's powerful virus protection technology
with their software and services.
The new OEM team will span all corners of the world. Andy
Thomson, UK global account manager, will head up OEM team
activities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) from Sophos
plc in the UK. Ralph Pisani, Jnr will lead the team in the Americas
and Philip Kemp will cover the Asia and Pacific regions (APAC) from
Sophos's Australian office in Sydney.
"We are seeing a tidal wave of interest in the anti-virus
market. Many organisations are turning to Sophos because it offers
consistent, reliable virus detection, multi-platform coverage,
superior, round-the-clock support and a flexible business model."
said Thomson. "With a worldwide OEM team in place, we will be able
to extend quality anti-virus integration products and superior
service to technology partners on a global scale."
CipherTrust, developer of IronMail, the first security appliance
for corporate email systems, has partnered with Sophos after
exploring other anti-virus solutions.
"Offering customers an anti-virus solution that provides
dependable scanning and high-performance is a critical component in
a comprehensive email security solution and that's why we selected
Sophos," said Steve Raber, President and COO of CipherTrust.
"Sophos has an impressive reputation in the industry for providing
a first-rate product and it has a long-history of dedication to
