Sophos, a world leader in corporate anti-virus protection, today
announced that its flagship product, Sophos Anti-Virus, has been
awarded "Best Buy" in a comprehensive comparative anti-virus test
published by What to Buy for Business magazine.
In the test, published in the August 2001 edition of What to Buy
for Business, Sophos Anti-Virus was tested against 22 other
anti-virus products, including solutions from McAfee, Symantec,
Trend, Computer Associates, F-Secure and Norman. Sophos Anti-Virus
out-performed them all, being awarded the top accolade of "Best
Buy".
What to Buy for Business praised Sophos Anti-Virus describing it
as offering "the best protection against a range of viral threats.
Easy to install and with powerful administrator and user tools,
this product cleaned all the viruses on our test machine. It is
also backed with a plethora of on-line help guides which educate
both users and system administrators... we liked it so much we
bought it ourselves!".
"Sophos Anti-Virus has always prided itself on its world-beating
anti-virus technology combined with first class technical support
and service," said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at
Sophos. "We are delighted to be recognised as the best anti-virus
product for business against such a wide range of competitors. This
award further strengthens our position as the world's leading
corporate anti-virus solution."
The full review can be read in the August 2001 edition of What
to Buy for Business magazine.
