Sophos, a world leader in corporate anti-virus protection, today announced that its flagship product, Sophos Anti-Virus, has been awarded "Best Performer" in a comparative anti-virus test published by PC Plus magazine.

In the test, published in the June 2001 edition of PC Plus, Sophos Anti-Virus out-performed McAfee VirusScan, Norton AntiVirus 2001, AVG 6.0 and PC-Cillin 2000 to scoop the award for "Best Performer", detecting all the viruses in the test.

"Sophos Anti-Virus has always prided itself on industrial strength technical support and service combined with world-beating anti-virus technology," said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at Sophos. "This award further strengthens our position as the world's leading corporate anti-virus solution."
